Filan®
Filan® is a protectant and systemic flowering spray fungicide for use in oilseed rape that provides excellent control of sclerotinia, late light leaf spot infections, botrytis and Alternaria.
Benefits
- Excellent Sclerotinia control. Important where risk of extended flowering
- Activity against Light Leaf Spot (to protect the pod canopy)
- Avoids use of azoles at flowering for good LLS resistance management
- Keeps leaves greener for longer to maximize seed fill

Keep Sclerotinia out – protect the flowering crop
By whatever means the crop gets there, whether via normal stem extension or re-branching from the base, protecting your investment in the crop is worthwhile. Choose Filan® with confidence, endorsed by recent independent AHDB and ADAS research.
Light leaf spot resistance management
Targeting light leaf spot (LLS) before stem extension is important to keep the disease off the upper canopy. Later in the year it’s critical to consider resistance management since LLS spores are present throughout the year and reduced sensitivity to azoles has been found. Given that LLS spores will still be present at flowering, it’s important to consider different modes of action to triazoles, such as boscalid.
Yield increase in the absence of visible disease
OSR leaves are twice as photosynthetically active as stems or pods and extensive ADAS research has shown that yield can be increased by maximising green leaf area & duration (GLAD). The ADAS trial series of 4 trials in 2017 and 2018 confirmed that Filan® increases GLAD.
Filan® contains boscalid, which reduces levels of the stress hormone ethylene, thus delaying senescence by keeping leaves greener for longer. For years we’ve seen this positive yield effect in the absence of visible disease, with a large database of 46 trials with no disease showing +0.2t/ha yield from Filan®.
