Why Crystal?
To be used as part of an IPM strategy, Crystal® has been found to give the best start to black-grass programmes in winter barley, whilst also offering a reliable choice for annual meadow grass control in winter wheat, as well as a robust option for early post-em residual top ups.
Crystal® is approved at a robust rate in winter barley and winter wheat, and can be used both pre or early post-emergence.
Crystal® contains 60g/l of flufenacet and 300g/l of pendimethalin.
The flufenacet component in Crystal® provides the cornerstone for grass weed control in winter barley, whilst the pendimethalin component provides control of the key broad-leaved weeds: chickweed, poppy, mayweed, ivy and common leaved speedwell. Pendimethalin also complements the grass weed activity of flufenacet by providing strong residual control of later germinating weeds.
